I like it. it leads into kuhn and wittgenstein pretty well. for me anyway. i was coming out of kirkeguaard and it whippped my butt, took me four hundred pages before I began to get him talking about math, after all.... his take on pythagorus. no. no its pretty distant from that and in a kind of odd way, dealing with the oddity of infinities. I read it long time ago.

A rather important information which underlines the thesis is a better description of “Gadova peč” (the “viper’s oven”). This not only refers to getting very drunk, but also to an interesting Slovenian tradition. Gad (venomous snake) was back in the day used to make schnapps. Some even made it out of swamps. This is uncommon but known practice in some parts as Pohorje and Gorenjska regions. The snake or swamp is placed upside down over the cauldron and when boiling, it releases its poison which makes the schnapps very strong. However it is not culturally acceptable because the schnapps can be deadly if you drink it too much and is of course abuse of animal. Therefore it is forbidden, however some people still cook and drink it - all of that in secret - making it dirty pleasurable.
